For those good at math

So at what point do we just hand over our shares for Weed share and make no upside? Looks like this is where we are heading? In my opinion Canopy shareholders do not value Fire!

The SP for the deal is set BH, unless it falls through for some strange and unfortunate reason. Here is the Deep Dive article and there is similar wording from FIRE. This buying opportunity will not last much longer without a new catalyst, now with Floyd veirdict  in the markets should pick up from the open in the AM. i understood that was a snap shot in time with canopy at 37.74 we would be at .44... with canopy price down we would be down as well.. maybe ir can clear it up

I thought I had looked at some other info somewhere that provided better clarity but can't find it now...the section below is from the Supreme NR. It seems clear and that is the info that should be included in the doc but we need to be sure so I have sent Craig a mail for clarification, will let you know what I recieve back. Can't imagine they would be announcing deals without clear ...more

That's how I read it, that the buy out offer is based on Supreme being valued at $435M, which works out to $0.44 based on fully diluted share count. The ratio of shares converter was an example used at a moment of time. If the deal is approved, I expect the ratio to be recalculated based on Canopy's then trading price compared to a $0.44 FIRE share price.  it's actually in our ...more

That's my take, it's 435M should be the focus, with the variable being the share price and the conversion ratio. Although, I am just going through the same thing with GC, but they reitterated the strike/deal price. It drifted down a bit but now sits at the deal price as it gets closing the the date of execution dispite dismal revs. But 100%, it's not clear on the Fire deal to be sure ...more

Any intelligent shareholder would vote no if CGC's stock price is lower than when the ratio was established.  Their currency is being devalued, and if FIRE is worth $435M to CGC, then FIRE should recieve $435M worth of CGC currency at the time of closing. Deal hasn't closed thus a revision to the ratio can always occur to ensure they get the shareholder backing to make this deal go ...more

We need to understand that CGC shareholders may not be in favor of the one-for-one exchange ratio as it stands now. They may want to reduce it.    Conversely, the FIRE shareholders may want more than a $435 Mil deal as it stands now.     I guess the powers to be figured that a one-for-one deal formula may satisfy both parties.  G1945V

There will be no recalculation, multiply you share holding in fire by the conversion ratio. That is how many canopy shares you receive in June. The end. I am still buying canopy but choose fire at this spread because you get a discount on canopy shares. If you are a long in canopy, buy fire now.

Looks like final #s to be determined vulc, they will be sending out info to explain the deal...so will have to wait to know what we are voting on and a 'No' vote is still very much in play....and then what, It is clear management wants or needs to sell and I have no problem with that as long as the SH's best interest is maintained throughout but either way a 'No' vote does not ...more

Apologies for the piecemeal attempt to get here vulc, but at least we know where we are at from here on until deal day and can make our own choices as we go. The deal is in our favour and we have the option to buy, sell or hold...barring any changes or corrections, it is a no brainer for me but everyone needs to do their DD at all times. The main item that scares me in this acquisition is the "What If's"... what if the US doesn't legalize (legalization looks to be a ways away). This will prevent CGC from sending product south.  they currently have a 10% ownership in TER with the option to acquire more which is great but it will come at a huge cost what if NY proceeds with current plan of ...more

The most important "what if" is what if we don't....could we make it on our own? This sector is moving forward and if you are not well established, with the shelf space to turn your production into revenue and that revenue does not generate positive net margins that result in a healthy profit that can grow ROI you won't have investors. It is looking like we are there, as an ...more

Definitely agree with 90% of that Opt. I'm just playing a little devils advocate and give people another few things to think about. Agreed that I'm sure we already have the votes to secure a yes vote. The US expansion does scare me a little as WEED is way behind in Florida and California and now will be also behind in NY. That's a good thing C02, the more the better and that includes anything legit on the negative side of the ledger...but not behind, just not there yet. It appears that Constellation, the big investor I believe, has taken the reins of late and are taking WEED to the big show, the global market and they intend to be #1. FIRE is key to that growth and along with other premium producers need ...more

Yep, I hear you for sure. The quaity that FIRE produces is second to none that I have tried. I have a very high tolerance and FIRE products still kick my a$$ every time. That is the main reason i invested in them years ago. I will say that they need to step up their game on the production of the Pur Dew oil though. I have been trying to order that through a few stores and also online for a month ...more

Beena/team will get to focus on strengthening anything and everything they are weak on now but they are not going to have much breathing room because WEED is on the move and fast tracking just about everywhere. With the reach that WEED appears to be aimming for is massive, global and we will see just how good FIRE is and can be going forward.  It really doesn't matter now as WEED is ...more

I know the facility is there Gman but can't remember the context of the discussion you quote? The talk early on that there was cheap power from Bruce somehow but if memory serves it was not the case and the 7arces facility brought the power in from another source but it was not at an unreasonable price. Now we are talking some years back and many posts ago when they were in construction, but ...more
