It is my understanding that world gold production is declining and will continue to decline over time. Unless all the exploration companies hit pay dirt!  I think the decline in production started in 2004 and is continuing. The supply and demand equation here may also boost the long term pricing of gold and not just fiat currency nervousness as the world population expands. But there are ...more

What's inconceivable about that Narm?Heck we are not talking a major developed country here  we're talkign 3rd world in many instances and I bet mining industry being one . Gee they have people working underground stealing gold for goodness sakes.  I guess they don;t wear Identity and control access cards there. hahahaha,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,remember FIU is a Canadian company not a third world entity, just they are located in another Country. Safety legislation and what the management of a mine expects can be two very different things. I would not expect any less safety policy by a Canadian company working in Africa or in Ontario! Ohh OhhhhMy dear friend Narmac,  not sure what your exposure to world wide corporations is, but mine is quite extensive in many industires due to my career choice.  A corporation in Canada or the US  will operate significantly different than it would in another country .  Canadian or American companies must follow the laws of where they operate not the laws where they ...more
