Is this company doing OK financially ?  At some time in the past they had financial problems, right ?  How are they doing now ?

MRG_WPGNo offence to you,  I just read Stude's reply and it was a little fuzzy  so I will try to expand on it.You come to this  blog and ask some very silly questions,  do you honestly expect a reply to those  kind of questions?  I'm just taking the time to reply simply because I have the time and nothing is pressing.Your quesitons are silly and stupid,  ...more

the easiest way to answer this is compare this stock to CML crow flight mineral.FIU  share price going up in valueCML has decreased in value and stock is stagnating.if you think gold and uranium are the sector in the market to be in next year 2011 then make decision based on this.FIu is basically a start up company so how can anyone say they will ever make money, but they are ramping up ...more

Leftmike have to disagree with you about the information on BB as there is some good info but there is a lot of BS as well...one must try to sort the sh1t form the pile..but the item 1marketmaker put up about Gold Wheat was a great pc of info...also I believe a lot of people are buying this as a U stock when it is also a gold stock..thanks keep up with the good items...sometimes the name calling ...more

Help me out please. The $400 Gold Weaton issue is not dead to me and no one here offered any good info other than "scram...or else" or "do your own DD".  I did!  That's how I found out how terrible this deal is.  But am I missing something.  I think this is a hedge and they must account for it as a loss, as in a hedge, you get cash up front, like FIU did ...more

Oh and the inflation rate of this deal is worth only 1%.   If inflation goes to 5%, we lose 4% more each YEAR.  Not 4%.  4% more each YEAR.   That's even WORSE as this investment (ie: rip off) lasts decades.Under the terms of the Transaction, GW shall pay First Uranium $50 million upon closing of the Transaction and, upon each gold delivery, an ongoing payment equal to the ...more

You don't record lost opportunity cost or profit on the books of an organization, so your presumption that a $25 million a year loss should be recorded in the books is completely erroneous. In your scenario, FIU would record the sale as revenue of 26,000 oz x $400 = $1,040,000 (they may have booked it initially as Deferred Revenue (Liability) and would then draw it down every year ...more

Marketmaker , I m not good and fast at typing and English is my second language but I will try to bring some point here so hope to shut u up : First , debt financing for corp like FIU ( exploration play or on V- venture ) minimum return is 20% and very hard to get financing , and nobody in here told u that Gold Wheaton deal with FIU was good one ( as Leftmike said : it was loan-shaft ) and I ...more

Stude,Thank you for that.  Certainly appreciated.  I guess than I just need to shake my head when people try to play the historical stock price with the present realities of having been shafted.  So I'll notch it down by 33% and see what I come up with.

Okay fair questions  1)    If no money from GW   FIU  tits up2)     FIU do not have to produce anything after this year,  but anything they do produce they have to provide 7% to GW.  The 26K is from year 2009 or was that 2010  which has passed already and they made their commitments.  They were going to have ...more

the uranium production is not affected by the wheaton contract. So when they start mining uranium and selling it this should help the bottom line as well.my hopes are gold goes to 1500 ozuranium 90.00 - 130.00 lb.then we see a turn around maybe 5.00 a share.
Comment by stude on Dec 06, 2010 7:50am
Shiftman , if GOLD go to $1500/oz and URANIUM  $90-$130 /lb and mgmt know how to sell FIU's story , Uranium' s reserve and resource , even FIU 's outstanding share 300mil , sp should be at least $10 . Just look and compare FIU with UEX or URE or HAT .
Comment by ecolo101 on Dec 06, 2010 8:57am
Hey StudeWhere did  you get 300M shares?Reality is: Shares Out (mil) 180.87 I guess your prediction on SP is just a prediction. Even Nostradamus does not know when the end will come...GLTA note : this am GOLD is going up, sooner or later we will have a spark on SP...Just hang to more value down the road!
