Mr. Julian Gwillim reports

FATALITY AT EZULWINI MINE

First Uranium Corp. notes with deep regret today that a fall-of-ground accident has claimed the life of a rock drill operator at its Isoline mine. The incident occurred on Sept. 13, 2011, on No. 50 level.

In terms of Section 54 of the Mine Health and Safety Act (South Africa), the Department of Mineral Resources has issued an instruction to withdraw all workers from the reef horizon until such time as an investigation into the incident has been completed. Accordingly, underground mining activity at the Isoline mine has been suspended.

The company has extended its sincere condolences to the family, friends and co-workers of the deceased.

We seek Safe Harbor.

So many accidents it does not make sense. This is too much. What are they doing putting the workers at risk.  They should be taking these accidents very seriously. They should fire the chief safety officer & some other executives too. They should ban bonuses for all the executives for the year if there is a fatality in that year.
