Buy FIU or Not?

My question is your guys bought FIU at price of 0.5 and more per share, and right now the price is 9 cents. For THESE GUYS STILL HOLDING THE FIU SHARES: Why not buy more shares right now if you have several thousand dollars?

My own opinion.

That's a fair question   but not an easy answer.   I own 116,000 shares at an average of .96 cents a share,  I could buy  120 shares now at 8 cents let's say and bring my average price down to aroudn 55 cents,  those 120K shares woudl cost 9600 ,  is it worth the risk?  that i sa good question.  What happens if the vote ends being a yes  I& ...more

I'm in a perfect position to average down. My avg.= 1.00 per share holding 32,000 shares. However, any new money put in to average down has a good chance to be lost. I don't fell the risk reward is on my side yet. Bankruptcy is still a wild card. A buyer for 50% of company is a wildcard. Also anglo and gold one raising offer is wild card. AND the deal may get voted YES and I get less ...more

Averaging down with this dog would seem to me to be throwing good money after bad. Until this board is gone, they will be working against shareholders for the benefit of others and themselves. The value of the shares is entirely in the hands of AngloGold and Gold One until the deals are voted down, and even then if the value of the shares will be dependent on the ability of the board to negotiate ...more

bright lights the company states a no vote equals nothing for shareholder, that would be one factor. what happens if no buyer the assets go to FNC and debenture holders factor 2. gold one is factor 10 million comes out of the sale as well. factor 3 factor 4 another creditor B S swaphole.

You'r crazy !!!!! give WMC 50% stake for paying back 150 mill debt.. thats worse than anglo and gold one are offering
Comment by dubsbs on Jun 01, 2012 12:48pm
shiftman  --- have you been drinking. what you posted makes absolutly no sence
Comment by idunnobut on Jun 01, 2012 1:00pm
Yeah, it does sound cheap, but if it aligns the interests of the shareholders with the running of the two mines I think it could make sense. first, 50% of the company is sold for 150M (yeah, it's worth more) paying off the debentures second, MWS is sold to AngloGold for 500M, paying off the note holders, leaving the company with 380M now the shares are worth $2 because the company has $380M to ...more

lets stop for a moment and think about this. If i was Gold One and Anglo Gold I would sit back let all vote no. Then i would buy the assets when FIU goes bankrupt. Remember FIU owes gold from both operations. They borrowed operating money from gold one to keep going. If they can't pay back the borrowed money and they have no money to operate, then FNC, Village, gold one foreclose. Anglo loses ...more

Not so fast. This proposal hopes to save the company in some form. The down side is that in return for the $150mil  we get a 100% dilutiion to around 480m shares. The upside is that we pay off the debentures and we have a new management team and BOD. I would then let it be known that both assets are still up for sale and make the best deal possible with whichever asset has the most interested ...more

Hey Shiftman --- now your speaking english. If WMC where to buy 50% stake for say 200 mill pay off gold one 10 mill pay 150mill debt put 40 mill in bank and operate successfully for 1 or 2 years than put assets back to market. Could still be a very good investment

in some form,  answer my question where do you get operating cash? 10 million to pay gold one. money to hire a board and management. who runs company in the mean time? stoppage what does it mean penalty from FNC  which one of you can quit job go to Africa and run this until new team take over ? i may need a drink before i get an intelligent answer. A higher offer i agree might save ...more

@Shiftman... first of all, you should start drinking...heavily...then you might make sense.  WPC has stated that they would make offer that includes repaying debentures.... with the right mgmt the company can operate on its own... MWS makes money and EZ eats money.... so turn off the lights on EZ until it is figured out.... won't take much given the refurbishing it has gone through. As ...more

yes i know what you can make from canabus.  I was a drug tester in a Federal institution for male offenders.  Im glad you got this offer from WPC telling you this. I have not been called or appoached with an offer to date, other than a call from kingsdale. You would be willing to take over until WPC gets there after firing an kicking their a*ses out the door. If not the ...more

Well... I would! (Can you "spare some change?!?") I got my shares @ 1.42-1.18... When your "Crones" made the IPO (or "whatever", I had no money left. So, can you lend me some money?!?
Comment by just_me... on Jun 01, 2012 3:59pm
... I don't think OLMA's lawyers are asleep... They are paid now (and in the future) for good services and advice. Wait and see... This is the name of the game right now! A better offer would be made. Besides the "Crones" , NOBODY wants this so called "DEAL"...

@SHHITMAN... dude you clearly have some lasting effects from the drug testing.... all you have to do ...moron ...is read the articles that have been posted on this board or google them and you can read all about the offer that WPC will make if this sales is voted down.... they want controlling interest...they know the stakes....  by the way WPC is in the same area as FIU so having someone run ...more

Hey Chill,  I hear you and yes Shiffty can be a bit somewhat exentrick at times   but let's not attack the guy okay? He's on our side,  same as Dkolish and the rest,  I was a little dumbfounded regarding Shifties remarks he missed a few things  but let's try to be civil...  haven't  you noticed how I don;t attack people anymore,  we have ...more
