Goodbye FIU

As of today I am officialy out of FIU, managed to sell out at roughly 0.26/share. I have no idea on any DD concerning the company right now, but for you guys holding...I hope you realize how ilogical it is to wait for the payout dates. At 0.26/share you are getting substantially more than the initial payout was, and higher than it still may be, remember that the pro forma proceeds etc. may be changed anytime. Essentially, what you are gambling on is the existance of an escrow fund which may or may not increase the payout to 0.33/share. Personally, I would not count on it, as it is not to likely, but if you really want to roll those dice for the extra 0.07/share go ahead.

My thinking was that there are simply better investments out there, I sold, I will trickle the money back in to market over the next week and look to new horizons for profit - but it seemed to risky to stick around with FIU for a measly 0.07/share. At any time FIU may decide it's cheaper to delist from the TSX and pay off Betsky and the large shareholders on the side and let everyone else flounder. None of us have the resources to chase these guys in SA.

I should add, that as far as I know, the initial payout date was slated to be August, with the escrow fund estimated to be December/January. FIU mentioned that there would be a TSX delisting review coming up shortly after the sale of the assets, so as to how people will be receiving their payouts, you will have to stay tuned. But good luck getting them if FIU is delisted.

I have no idea if our actions had any effect, but at 0.26/share I managed a 50% loss, and I'm not looking back - good luck to those holding.
