Time for Freehold to Start Raising the Dividend

They are a LONG ways off their payout ratio and we have put up with the lower dividend long enough. Time to restore the pre-reduction Royalty levels.

You're hard to please. A decent dividend combined with a great looking one year chart. Dividends aren't any good if the SP moves in the wrong direction. Fortunately, that's not an issue with FRP. GLTA

I don't really think I am. I don't invest for entertainment, I want to make mopney. When Covid hit and Freehold reduced its royalty a lot, I agreed as it was prududent at the time. Now, with oil over 70 and headed to 100, there is no reason not to go back to the normal payout ratio. It isn't like they are using the spare cash to pay down debt or buy more property so I would rather have ...more

Dean you've got a few options: Sell your shares Buy enough shares to run for board of directors where you can voice your concerns Send your concerns to management via IR That's the beauty of the markets, you can exit anytime if you think there's better opportunity elsewhere WCP looks like a double from here, while conservative FRU has about 50% upside plus dividend increases.
