Can anyone explain...

... why this stock is so out of favour?  It's hard to find out as the stock is so low profile.  The distribution looks reasonably sustainable so what am I missing?

They have lost major accounts which impacted Assets Under Management (AUM) which is a key metric to value asset management firms.  Following the CEO departure, the founder stepped back in.  I would have expected the firm to be sold as the founder (Mr Desjardins) is at a retirement point in his life.  I still expect this to happen, but unless they can quickly grow AUM, the selling ...more

I have to think that Desjardins is back as CEO to turn around and pretty up the company for being bought out. He has built and sold other asset managers and will want to sell this one as well. And while he gets it ready I suspect the dividend is safe.  A reduction is already priced in so if they announce the 22 cents for the next dividend, the SP is headed back up quickly.
