FIERA HOLDINGS RECEIVES SALE NOTICE FROM DESJARDINS

Desjardins wishes to sell all of the units of Fiera LP and all of the shares of Fiera Holdings that it holds. (is this a positive or a negative for FSZ?) https://www.stockwatch.com/News/Item/Z-C!FSZ-3539892/C/FSZ

The marhet seems to have a negative view of this notice. The real question is why. Until we have an answer on the matter there will be negative trend for the stock.

the management will have to buy out desjardins otherwise, the current CEO and founder will lose its super voting rights obtained through fiera holding. No need to panic, we are in the presence of 2 scenarios:  1- management will buy out desjardins, keep the super voting rights of the CEO== no change in the short -mid term, but more commitment from the management for the long term 2 ...more

The announcement says management is working with a financial partner.  Perhaps that is a potential buyer for the whole company in the future. Financial partner could just be lending management money rather than taking an actual equity position. The negative reaction has to do with the current uncertainty of these shares now being on the market and that Desjardins is no longer a potential ...more

Volume is low.  Not alot of insider activity.  Looks like there's a structured plan here. IMO

Readinf today's report for assets under management on March 31st, business seems to be has usual with an improvment of 4.1%. Bottom line, today's brouhaha with Desjardins and a market declining sharply was or looks like an overeaction  from some shares holders. At least, according to the latest info. Unless there are very bad news on the next financial report du in a very near future, ...more

Desjardins owned 6.9% of Fiera stocks. This represent 50 M at current market price. At those levels, I don't think that Desjardins was a possible buyer of total assets of Fiera. On the other hand, do we know the price that will be negociated, if there is a possible negociation. That being said, 50 M for Desjardins is a drop off the bucket which may indicated that Desjardins dropped the towell ...more

It looks that way.  Something desjardin doesn't like.  My impression was desjardin wanted to have fsz as part of them.  Is it their financings are lower interest than the dividends.  Do they think divvy not sustainable.  Something else.  Crazy dynamics here.

The market is certainly answering my question and Desjardins pulling out looks like a real negative. All's well that ends well and hopefully that will be true here. GLTA
