“The Swan Hills Treatment Centre is the only facility of its kind in Canada and one of few in the world.”

I agree Jim, announcing and answering the last question first seems to spell out some thought processes of FT and our plans. Definitely raises anticipation on the home of our processing facility.....

You have to love the logical way the development news is being delivered. First, start at the end (waste disposal) and the beginning (road) and then work both ways to the middle. Simple ;)

I figure we will see Tlicho hiway start up for 2021 likly in April ....probably start up road camp in March....and ramp up from there to complete the project ..... I understand that last bridge is work in progress and not sure where it left off last fall.....it's going to get very interesting very soon....

Just on our web site and the Updated February Co presentation ..I do not have a copy of the older version to see what's changed ....   "4 sites being considered for refinery 2 permitted brownfield locations with existing facilities to reduce capex 2 greenfield Saskatchewan sites including one under purchase option..."  But did did we know this from the older ...more

Fortune received EA approval for a refinery site in Saskatchewan, This has been going on for how many years ? If the economics are there why the delay?
Comment by red on Feb 09, 2021 10:47am
Well if you could tap into and existing facility and save a couple hundred million that would be a good reason for a delay....the question remains ...is that what we are going to do. all of the years of discussion have waited and revolved around some level of cobalt $$  recovery and demand ...that is upon us now....and we can better see the light at the end of the road. we'll be in the ...more

Just build the refinery in the NWT and be done with it, theres Gold properties within the area.
Comment by Lotten on Feb 09, 2021 7:45am
This news release indicates to me that the company is trying to build the share price step by step before the big news arrive. Perfect.

Kind of a back door approach but good strategy .....we all knew that waste handling would be a question later.....and why I believed swan hills held the answer ...let's see if that is the case. It's on the rail system, easily accessible from enterprise. great location and good rationale for a process facility as well in fact would make too much sense assuming we have to build a new ...more

Sherritt (Fort Saskatchewan) is only 224 Kim’s south east of Swan Hills. That would be a good place to refine NICO ore with the waste going to Swan Hills?
Comment by red on Feb 09, 2021 8:45am
Ultimately I think that's what's going to happen if we don't build something, however I don't know that sheritt can produce sulphate but with some Investment ??  .....also swan hill takes waste from  four service providers with whom they contract of which one is likely talking to FT .....swan hills facility is owned by the Alberta government so there is multi level ...more
