As a geologically-minded person, I am always surprised that anyone thinks trees can do much for CO2.  Yes, they may be a great CO2 sink for what, 100, 500, or maybe 1,000 years, and then they fall, rot, and the cycle begins again.  So if that is your time frame of concern, then have at er.  If you think that man in one form or another (Homo Sapiens) has been impacting the planet for ...more
