Re: this year's AGM

Hello and good morningFT Longs:

Just as an FYI about this year's AGM - here is the message I received from Troy N.

Good morning

I am touching base to update you on the AGM this year.

Under Step 1 of Reopening Ontario, indoor gatherings are not permitted so we are encouraging shareholders to vote by proxy and not attend in person.

I would be happy to arrange a call to provide an update on our progress and answer any questions you have.

Sincerely,
Troy

So if there is no virtual meeting, I guess the options are limited for asking questions of the CEO and our Board of directors directly. Hmm

Yes, I'm afraid I received the same note.  anyways, it would be nice if they did something virtually. I will settle for a phone call.  cheers

I have to agree, but I understand the cost of a V meeting....as all of you, many of my questions would develop based on what we hear. Otherwise at this point it will be the same questions and comments that we have asked Ourselves ( and answered in our own minds) over the last year.....surely to god some news could come before AGM and we could at least formulate new ones and send into the meeting ...more

It's always a phone call isn't it? That's been my experience dealing with them as well. It's as though they don't want a paper trail or a commitment of sorts to what the company has to say about things. Technology is well past the point where they could record the meeting with ease and put it on YouTube, as well as provde a written transcript. So much secrecy and lack of ...more

this is about individual votes for directors as opposed to slates of directors. Very different than the on shareholder one core suggestion you wrote about.

It is what it is, wow clever... Ive read on this board the disatisfaction of shareholders. I think its a great way to for small co. to avoid the what this co. is expierencing, better representation.

Geo, Ill find the article I picked up recently ...It was directed to common shareholders.
Comment by geolith on Jun 02, 2021 10:41pm
I suspect what you had suggested has been proposed at one time or another. For example, our electoral system is based upon one person one vote, and not I paid $100,000 in taxes and you paid nothing, so I should have more votes. The difference is, the average Joe just pays his taxes and (maybe) votes. The ultra rich pack up and move, or negotiate with the tax authorities for a system that they ...more
