On Twitter, Chinese Ambassador Zhu wrote that the DRC “must not be the battleground for the great powers,” adding that “no one has the right to use the country, a sovereign and independent state, to satisfy their own interests.” Global Mining, an online Chinese publication, suggested the DRC’s recent push to scrutinize Chinese deals was encouraged by Washington.

You can bet that the Canadian Government will take an interest should the Chinese express even a passing interest in financing and developing Nico. And they would not be interested in processing in Canada. It would save a lot of money. Just ship the concentrates to Tianjin.;(

Then our Canadian Government's need to step up to the plate . Loan guarantees, tax holidays and the usual give aways ! The Chinese get it . We are slow to even get started . Just sayin. Jim

I like to believe we are wise to them ... but then again been more disappointed than not. But then again our friends to the south of us have a way of slapping us and kissing us at the same time too.
