... Mr. Speaker, a healthy and vibrant mineral exploration and development sector is critical for the NWT, its people, and our future prosperity. That is why we are working hard to develop a Mineral Resources Act and Regulations that benefit all Northerners and represents the priorities of Indigenous governments across the NWT.
Critical and strategic minerals are key components in modern technology. Those found within the NWT are an important part of future resource and economic development for the Northwest Territories. The development of a critical minerals strategy will ensure we put ourselves on the map to support the international transition to a greener economy. This work is well underway, Mr. Speaker, and represents the next chapter in mineral resource development in the Northwest Territories.

It'sa statement of support given we are on the only primary cobalt and permited mine in the country and in fact will lead the NWT and "Canada" in to the future of critical and strategic metals. I wonder if the premier knows that the NWT hold the largest known strategic metal and bismuth deposit on earth ...right here....regardless there is the words that clearly indicate government

Southern policy with a northern flair. I like that. And the only jurisdiction in Canada where the Regulatory legislation is made in Ottawa, not in our home territory. Tough to fix any issues that might crop up when you have to get the majority of 650 MPs to accept your submissions, when you only have 1 MP representing you.

649 of which need to look like they are doing something proactive in the green and electric future of Canada and the world and may not hurt us. Even tho most of them are more concerned with their own individual jurisdictions or regional areas ( Quebec/ Ontario) ... we may be a bit of a tag long cause none of them have what we have and ready to go. I figure they can't speak to our cause but
