I posted awhile ago on a salt brine battery used for grid size applications using Bismuth as a cathode. It turns the salt water to fresh. Great idea for arid region.

As of today, we know there is no shortage of dry regions, Arizona is now holding back on new land development ....no water to support....it's definitely a serious problem though out the south and west in NA and by all amounts only getting worse.( the world over)
