Cool heads needed here…

There are 2 scenarios as I see it.

1) Mike resigned because he felt he'd been dealt a dud, and didn't want to jeopardise his reputation any further.

2) Mike got the boot because - nice as he is, and as great as his reputation is - he just wasn't up to the task in hand.

I think it's 2. I like Mike; he's knowledgeable and I think he's open and honest. But I can well imagine that Ivan was becoming frustrated at his slightly hesitant communication style and lack of evident fire in the belly. Shareholders need to get excited and engaged and I for one found Mike fell slightly short of delivering that.

If I'm right, then I think it is no accident that Ivan pulled the trigger before some important upcoming drill results. And - importantly - we'll be well rewarded for holding tight

Of course the opposite is also true. If Mike resigned because he thought Fury was a crock of sh*t, then we're all fooked. I just don't think this is the case though....

There's no way this is a resignation. If it was MT's initiative, there would be a more orderly handover and a better explanation of why he's gone.  That means he was pushed. Which means the upcoming drill results are still likely to be a big positive surprise for the market. Which means that FURY probably represents the single best buying opportunity today.
