Interesting forum

Futura says the experience with Aeroplan and car dealerships are below expectations. But why then does Aeroplan continue to go this route themselves and dealers offer 60,000 miles, while Futura mostly gets 5000 miles (5000 X 2 cents =$100 net) per new car purchase.

Also why did Aeroplan do the same idea years ago with GTA car dealers? Is it, or isn't it a category to go after and make money from?

Maybe the auto sales category is a tough one to crack with new loyalty programs as compared to the relatively easier ones Advantex may have. That's why ADX  are successful in such a short time since being an Aeroplan reseller in 2012.   In that forum, this sums it up: "5000 miles would never persuade me to buy one car over another, even 50,000 might be hard ...more
