It sort of comes down to this. Maybe it's a poor analogy, but every business has gambles to contend with. By gambling I mean an event beyond a business's control. Can a deal be struck, can financing be arranged, an unpredictable marketplace, obsolescence, expansion into new markets or  a new line of business, etc.
