The Five Nines

I see that some people are getting impatient waiting for a press release regarding production. A lot of us have a lot of money tied up in Excelsior so it's understandable.

For those who are traders rather than investors go chase some of the high flyers. I think long-term investors know they have a good thing here and are willing to wait things out.

Of course, the big question revolves around questions of productivity and quality. I'm expecting the quality to not initially achieve the goal for "five nines". Maybe a little less. But so what, the SX/EW plant has been idle for about six years. Some contamination is understandable because of this. It should be a haircut of a few cents per pound.

As the bugs get worked out, Excelsior will run like a good Swiss watch. Copper will be produced at nameplate capacity and everyone will make a lot of money, in my opinion.

I've been in this for 5 years and I too am getting impatient. Time after time management shows a complete lack of care for its investors. We need less spontaneity in regards to news releases and and more marketing. This is what happens when you have a company run by engineers. They seriously need to hire professionals that can market a company and understand Finance. Taking advantage of the ...more

While I agree with you regarding subpar communication from this company (and there are positives to this since the story is real), the share price ran from $0.2 to $1.5 in 2018, and then stalled, and rightfully so (look at copper price chart from 2018-2020). Then Covid hit and with ramp up concerns, we are where we are. I believe we are closer to the end here, and with production ramp up, it is ...more

I'll take a mining company run by engineers over fly-by-night stock promoters any day of the week. I've noticed that those who vigorously promote their mining stock are really promoting cow pasture.

It's about balance. No reason to forgo marketing just because you have expertise. Copper in general has skyrocketed and we are lower in price than we were without permits and when copper was lower/lb. I'm not talking about marketing in the sense of pump and dump. I believe this stock is the real deal and will produce copper at low costs, but this story needs to be shared or it will never ...more

The price won't go up from sharing the story, the price will go up when they make tons of money.  I have full confidence in management, and that they will make tons of money.

That is ridiculous in the extreme. Do you know the average time it takes to build any mine? 10 to 15 years!  Do you realize that Covid shut them in for nearly a year?  That they couldn't get any Sulfuric Acid because other producers of the stuff were also shut down?  They have a working project now...a major accomplishment.  They will actually have revenue now and once the ...more

Yes I'm well aware of everything that has happening with the company as I've been heavily invested into this stock well before you. Marketing is key, regardless of the industry you're in.

And to your point about covid, have you taken a look at other copper companies? They've all doubled and tripled. We moved from $2.75 copper to $3.75 AND obtained both permits with little stock price movement to show for it. I don't think anyone doubts the technology MIN is using to mine, I just don't think people have heard of MIN altogether! Back then mining was in the news so it was ...more

I agree the opportunity cost is real. There two scenarios: 1. Company not for sale yet, and hence no promotion efforts. The sale tag could be on as soon as official production and sale announcement, so is potentially close. 2. Company a target for Triple Flag, and so is held down. This is tricky and can play out under multiple scenarios. Either case, money here is good money. Its a matter of ...more

Copperwave I feel your frustrations. I have been invested in this company for many many years Since 2017 the share price has bounced around the 1$ range. I did add some more in the recent 40-50 cent range which I sold today. I have done minimal trading like this over the years. Mostly buying and holding. I was going to wait to sell for the news release about first copper which should be out any ...more

We will have to wait, like I always knew - here is part of one of my posts from Nov. 9, 2019: I have been in this stock since early 2014.  It has been at least slightly undervalued the entire time, and most of the time it has been seriously undervalued. MIN is the Rodney Dangerfield of stocks - it can't get any respect. I see MIN only getting close to NPV when it is producing at full ...more

I guarantee you that with copper at $5 or more and MIN producing 125 million lbs of the stuff every year we will no longer be off the radar.  IMHO it will be a $10 stock or better and I can build a scenario where it's $30....I'll wait for that. We are at the starting gate...will be a shame if you or anyone else sold out here.

Maybe I should try to pump it on WSB haha. Bullet sells like today are the kind you want to see, since they are emotion driven and not algorithmically pre-planned, like coordinated shorting or exit of an institutional sshare holder. So the story has not changed, and I hope with the first million hitting the bank from sales, we get that rerate quickly.

There was also risk involved before permits were being issued but the share price was significantly higher at certain times during that process than it is now. I feel the risk was much higher then because if a permit was declined for any reason the stock would most likely have tanked. There have been many risks over the years and 2017-2019 seemed to have been the better years for our share price ...more
