Weekly letter

From CEO.ca this morning in reviewing the extreme heat wave in Europe.   Assuming this climate event is NOT a one-off, our mission of attaining Net Zero is taking on much greater urgency. And if we're to realize that lofty goal by mid-century, we've got a lot of catching up to do.

Solar panels, wind turbines, electric vehicles - the essential components for carbon neutrality - require far more copper than most people realize - Net zero climate target could fail without more copper supply -report

Good point Ebankbank - and he addresses that point in his weekly letter. Junior mining companies are all down about 50% in this market. Companies posting exploration results that are quite decent - but not spectacular - are getting trashed mercilessly. But the current price decline in copper is not sustainable, certainly not sustainable if the new copper supplies that are needed over the next ...more
