I read the article. When Piccini said "it is not an either or scenario", What does that mean? Caribou over Mining? Global warming is probably what's killing that Caribou, and changing their migration habits. Not a little bit of mining activity. There's millions of other acres in the area that the Caribou can live in.

I think he meant they can coexist its not that if we protect the animals mining can't happen and vice versa.

There is no issue with Generation going forward, if the Governments want to bring the caribou back into that area they have a huge Pukaskwa national park next door and 2 provincial parks within 40 km of that area.
