I certainly hope the end of this pandemic is near! As of today, 81% of all new Covid cases in Alberta were "Fully Vaccinated" prior to infection. Could you imagine being a government official trying to spin that data, probably best to leave it off the evening news and just bury it on Table 3 of the covid stats :-) Lets hope Omicron is the final surge.  Alberta Covid Stats

I think the government wouldn't need to spin anything, just add that the 81% of the new Covid cases that were fully vacinated are not going wind up in the ICU or dying unless they have other underlying conditions (likely some of them could die of the Covid without underlying conditons). But they need to add that the other 29% is where you're going to find many of them occupying the ICU'

Hey Bridge, Pro tip on arithmetic: When comparing two or more groups of people in terms of percentages, The sum total of all groups can not equal more than 100%. (Unless you are counting mailed in ballots in Philadelphia, but I digress :-) If 81% of all new covid cases in Alberta are Vaccinated, a maximum of 19% could be considered Unvaccinated, not the 29% you repeatedly referenced.

Sorry, you are absolutely right. Just too busy this morning trying to get minimum RIF withdrawals done for both my wife and myself and of course there turned out to be some complications that were unsettling but finally resolved a few minutes ago. I'd go to your suggested site but I don't think they deal with the very simple math that I was dealing with. Never-the-less, with free choice
