It Appears Games Are Afoot
was looking at pre opening activity and noted matched buys and sells in the very low 8ths, that then increased....
I expect it is like the CSE where buyers put in fake bids\sells to influence the opening price and instil jitters of a share drop...in this case down to 8.05 then slowly rising in lockstep to where delayed prices still show 500 bid\ask at SH 8.21.
Could be wrong, but it is odd to see 500 for sale AND bid at the same price....rising in lockstep....and it is a classic move in trying to shake loose some shares
Opened at 8.47 for 571 shares....

Sage, this activity has been going on for years and with many of my equities on the TSE, just goes to show that investors need to pay attention and not give their shares away. Worried today by Jamie Dimon's Hurricane comment today particular after his clouds comment a couple of weeks ago. Hoping we don't go into a deep recession.

Not surprised, though I had not really "looked for it" with my core holdings....just my specs Stood out like a sore thumb this am after yesterday's spectacular rise Yes, riskier hold these days, thanks for that thought, but as long as the yield stays firm, everything else is gravy for me.

As long as oil and gas prices remain elevated, Alberta may be insulated or semi-insulated. I don't think we need to worry about hitting covid lows again! The price on this stock is in my opinion already very conservative compared to other oil and gas related companies.

When viewing, you may have to CLICK the drop-down button that says "ATS" to open the list of sub exchanges.

Glad to share. Next quick post will be for Cpeczek's NCIB question. The more info we all know, the tougher we become as shareholders.

Malx1, thanks for the explanation, appreciated. Just wondering what is stopping the person conducting the NCIB from participating this activity as well?

I believe the buying must be passive, meaning GH ncib operator must not uptick the price when buying. So they constantly sit with 1,100 bid, hoping that someone like Kasking gets bored and lobs 1,100 at the bid, then GH may get filled if they are first in line to purchase the discarded shares. That's why you see some days where the ncib gets less than their targeted 1,100 daily limit.

that explains why on the odd occasion they only pick up 600 shares some days
