Way off topic - how Stockhouse rates comments
For those of us who post here on SH, you'll see a rating/ranking with your name that shifts up when others vote up your comment.
Great, Borat.
I've noticed the numbers drop, sometimes by 50-100 points at a time.
Figured out why, and why scores will Always fall over time.
Seems SH only counts your votes from the trailing 3yrs, or 36 months. So at the end of each month, the votes you earned 36 months ago will disappear.
For example.
A guy like BarStoolSage, who earned 100 votes in March 2020 when he called the $4 bottom on GH, those points have now vanished, replaced with his monthly tally from 2023.
So his SH social credit rating has dropped by 100 points, not by his own fault, but because that's how SH scores people's contributions.
If a person chose not to post for 3yrs straight, all their past up votes would disappear and their score will fall to zero.
Thought I'd share, some people here have been posting for decades and now all that valuable insight on SH is vanishing.
Some people were reading back ten years in GH's message board to learn more about the business. That info is gone now. SH will only carry the trailing 36 months of posts.
Disappointing because this forum was similar to an online journal that provided information about the business the past two decades.
Guessing this choice to delete old content was a cost cutting measure by SH. They have to pay for data storage.
I see our favourite stock is almost back to Kasking's Q4 target of $8.88
Also, if you've read this far you deserve a reward.
Noted recently that Acumen Capital has incrrased GH's price target to $12, from $11.50
Smart.

What a &$#-@ way s.h. calculates the posts & deducts posts, I've been a member for 17 years, estimating over 1500 times I have posted, but shows only 67 times I've posted, so this keeps up, I'll be down to zero soon..

Kasking's hedge fund is 98% GH shares and 2% cash, which he re-invests quarterly into more GH shares. MER is 0.10% annually. Lock-in period is 10yrs minimum. Might not be popular today, but when shares are $12 he will the the talk of the town.
