Gennum as an acquisition target

Gennum is being looked at across the border as an acquisition target.  It's one of the few mid cap Canadian chip companies left and with the recent buy out of Dalsa, Gennum solid portfolio  of products, strong cash position and market growth make it hard to pass. 
The shares have been quietly accumulating for the last 5 months. There is a US investment bank buying up the shares last little while in anticipation. To long term holders of Gennum enjoy the ride.

Anyone have any comments regarding the Q4 results?  I keep hoping for a pop in net income into the 6k or 7k range but we never seem to get there. As stated by management, opportunities are significant but maybe im becoming impatient, hopefully an acquisition of sorts can transpire to elevate the companies quarterly net income towards the 6/7/8k range and give this stock a solid pop towards

I think you are being impatient.  Gennum has shown solid earnings growth for the past 5 quarters.  The revenue was off slightly in the most recent quarter due to supply chain management issues.  Franz indicated that even Gennum was surprised by the exceptional increase in demand for their products (optical) and that the supply chain issue is being worked on and should be completely

Franz has been working his azz off, there is no doubt about that, ive seen the evolution. Many things have been done, all we need now is a possible acquisition and a net income increase. As your aware the only thing that is going to move the share price is increased net income and eps, thats why im looking forward to quarterly net income moving into the 6/7/8k arena. They seemed to be frustrated
