Speaking of warrants
How long does it usually take to receive your shares after you call to exercise them? I guess normally I would just have sold the warrants outright but I could not get as good of a price.TD web Broker told me that I would not get the shares until the exercise date but gave no confirmation number as proof.I did exercise XBC warrants last year and don't remember waiting more than a few days. Can Retiredcf or anyone else explain? Thanks for the help.

if you have a lot of warrants it's hard to sell them now (not enough liquidity as we get close to the deadline). I execised my warrants over a month ago and it took about 4 business days to get the shares in my account, that is with RBC

Thanks for your reply I have waited about 6 days.It is as i thought though, that you don;t have to wait until the expiry date.It was a young guy who didn;t seem to sure about anything.I will wait a few more days then call again. Thanks again.

If you sell the warrants the proceeds are taxed in 2021, if you excercise for shares taxes are differed until you sell the shares.

Sumpineh , when I called TD DI to excercise the warrants , I had them in my account the next week. There was no confirmation number given for my instructions My advice is call again to confirm so that the ball isn't' dropped if you know what i mean.

Thanks for your reply.I called again and was told the request had been made on April 27 and she did not know why I had not received the shares yet.She would send out a request as to the reason and that I could call back in 2-3 days to find out. At least she did give me a confirmation number.I had sold half of the warrants at $2.02.Obviously I should have sold them all. Thanks again.
