This stock is a good buy

It is doing consistent production from its wells at this time, but it should get better for the rest of this year.As for the buying back shares, you are right about getting a dividend payment being a much better way to reward the existing shareholders, who were run over by the board of directors with the reverse split,at what you said was something like 10 for 1.You should know that the people at I3Energy are a good group of guys with the shareholders, since they bought all of the assets with shares, and not debt,so that we were getting steady dividends over the past years. With the two companies merging together,it is looking good for us,since the combination of the two should result in more free cash flow to service the debt and a big diversification for us with the company in good old safe and reliable Alberta,so glta.

coolfooldumbguy yes! The i3 Energy shareholders getting the best of everything in this whole deal. The Gran Tierra longs just keep getting hammered on by the CEO (Guidry) and the Board of Directors like, all the time. Approval of massive debt to exploration for marginal volume increase BOEPD. Redundant Buyback. 10:1 stock consolidation Acquisition of i3 Energy with cash ...more

Let’s all stand up and give a round of applause to our infamous CEO, Mr. Gary Guidry for such a great job in preserving shareholder value. Has anyone seen the share price of late? Pretty dismal eh! Ouch! You may say the fall in share price all has to do with the market price of oil. I’d say yes to a certain extent, but the buyback should somewhat cushion the drop not as steep??

They should immediately sell non core areas in Colombia and reduce debt and drill the montney. Somehow most Canadian producers can afford a dividend of 7% , not GTE with those "high impact" wells
