Latin America ... Medison update
Note - there were many Medison lovers who wanted to tout Jakobson as the guy to get things done. I used his historic data to show how slow him growth actually was at Medison.
If you've been following his progress, you'll see they didn't make much of a splash in Canada and they are now partnering with another pharma in Latin America (2022). The process is very slow - as should be expected ... when you're not trying to gamble with other people's money.
Late to the party but - you can see that geographic diversity is important, even for Medison. Latin America is a draw for them. Some here tried to say the Latin America strategy was flawed and that Jakobson knows best. Hahaha !
How are you going to put a spin on Medison's move to Latin America - and in a partnership vs. going alone? They'd be much further ahead if Meir would have played like a true partner with Knight vs. a play to take control of our cash.
Giving him the benefit of the doubt - maybe Meir did learn something and he's refocused on strategy vs. low-probability opportunity.
Regardless - true growth in these markets is a long process - not a high stakes money grab and a roll of the dice.
