No there was a sell bid for 2.5 million, also saw it and then it was removed. GXE being a laggard again today. Hard to beleive so many sellers with oil flying as well as the broad markets. Hopefully it gets out of this funk soon.

Lucky, I'll confess to being sadly uninformed about icebergs, walls and other trading tactics used to pick pockets on the TSX. I do not utilize Level 2 data. It does appear to me, however, that the daily volume indicates a large swing trade. Since a swing trade required a losing counterparts to every successful trade, it suggests to me that there are entities with large positions selling

NOPE. Davos is going to shock some, but not me. Shareholders will not be participating in oils next rise and it will rise. Government caused it and have a plan. No one wants to invest in thier green lose.lose nonsense ... so they are going to take via tax the FCF and hand it to zealots to waste. Mark my words. Oil shareholders are screwed.

  Cynical disbeliever that I am, the same thought has occurred to me. Especially in Canuckistan where Turdeau senior has done it before with his National Energy Program. I also cannot see politicians ignoring oil profits or ignoring the 'climate change' agenda despite its complete denial of reality. They may as well attempt to repeal the Law of Gravity.

Another buying catalyst will be if Eric makes Gear his top pick next Friday on Market Call. He put a target of $3.09 on Gear on his last appearance at $100

I think BNN guests are no longer allowed to pick top picks which they have choosen in the prior 12 months. Eric has been on so much it elimiates many of the stocks he holds. I recall last time he said something about BNN changing the rules so he couldn't pick the 3 stocks he really wanted to.

It's been more than a year for his top pick. I suspect Gear and Lucero for his top picks or at least a good analysis and both will be more than 100% target

Lovely as that thought is, a special dividend is unlikely this early in the game. Growth, by acquisition, workovers, water flood or drill bit will be my choice, leaving a special dividend or dividend increase for when optimization is done. I also have a modest concern that insiders will pay themselves before considering shareholders. Insiders will be looking at recompense for the tough years
