Dividend must be eliminated

No company can borrow topay dividend IMO.  Financial health of company must be protected for existing  shareholders.

GXE is NOT borrowing to pay the dividend. When the dividend was implemented, OIL was above $100 and they had surplus funds which they decided to return to the shareholders. Today OIL is at $70 and that surplus is not available. A) They can readjust the dividend weekly based on the fluctuations of OIL, B)  They can cancel the divy and if oil rises, keep the profits instead of returning it to ...more

Read the whole comment I posted. Or is that too challenging for you? In summary, when thye instituted the divy, oil was higher and they allocated funds accordingly.

Add today's headline that Biden wants to start refilling the SPR....just before the OPEC meeting. Too funny.

It appears that Biden is encountering pushback from saner heads about further SPR sales. The S part of SPR has been negated by opportunistic squandering of Reserve volume. While reserve refilling will not likely 'move the needle', it will take some of the edge off demand destruction fears in the medium term.

I think with airlines and cruise lines full blast capacity going towards summer the demand will be a lot stronger the the capacity for oil producers to bring production online .  Add to the mix summer driving season around the corner i would not be suprised to see oil 85-90 by summer..  At this Price Level in oil Gxe Cash flow more than enough to enitiates buyback together with ...more
