What can eliminate wash trades
1. Time. Washtraders are longs. They wash trade a stock down and collect cheap shares. They always will benefit. At some point they will want profits.
2. Buyback. When most of the time there is a a third party sitting on the bid side it is very hard to wash trade consistently.
3. Merge. Gear is small and easy to wash trade with lack of buyers. This is a chicken an egg story. Buyers don't come if they see the stock is easily played and the stock is easily played if there are no buyers. Merge with someone in order to become bigger.
That is it. These are the only options.

Pretty much. The only solution is more buyers. More buyers needs a catalyst to attract them. A business arrangement into a bigger producer may be such a catalyst. Entities sniffing about Gear must see accretion so the proprietary info in the data room will tell the tale with a board sponsored offer.....or not, leaving Gear no worse off but with a negative market sentiment overhanging the stock.
