TMX will be up and running sooner

than previous forcast.  Expected to be open and producing by end of March.

That is simply false. They have only now pulled the stuck pipe out of the critical tunnel section. So the reason for the problem has to be corrected, and a new pipe installed. Why do you consider lying to be useful?

Yesterday's TMX update was May, definitely Q2. I think that is old news.

If the drag section of the bore is not sleeved, the epoxy corrosion coating may be scratched to bare metal requiring that section to be removed and repaired or replaced. Its a time consuming business because what goes in does not necessarily come out and, in rock, has to be replaced. Once line fill begins, the spread should narrow. With the buyback now it is in Gear's best interests for TMX to be delayed. There are levels to this game and having the stock cheap for long will save Gear millions if they are serious to fully fulfil 10% allowance on the year.

They are serious about talking about buybacks, not necessarily about funding them. Use spare change for optimal use depending on circumstances.
