Other copper miners are up and were down again. Is it a Peru thing or our last quarters poor showing? This quarter supposedly going to be much better.

It's partly china rattling everyone's cage and yes it's partly the Peru thing as you put it...As good a company as HBM is until there is clarity in Peru regarding the leftist agenda.....HBM will lag or worse fall further....Uncertainity is kyrptonite for the markets~ I'm going to wait and see as to what happens in the Peru election in June before deciding which way I'll go

Thanks Goldanalyst for your reply. The stock has been weak since the quarterly numbers came out. I may average down again but my track record trying to be too cute has gotten me into trouble in the past.

I'll be waiting to see if Castillo wins the election and what that means for mining companies in Peru....He'll want to exact some pain on miners because he knows they've been making a killing this year as commodity prices have skyrocketted plus that will speak well to his base...he will likely win the election and once he does the bottom for HBM might happen relatively soon afterwards.

Castillo's Free Peru party has 37 seats in Congress of 130. He won't be able to do squat, for the few months he will be in "power". Teachers, pfft, the worst people for accomplishing anything. Interesting week last week with HBM
