Hbm has 1B debt, if you compare mkt cap, you should add 1B to Hbm mkt cap...what I like most at Hbm is low AISC, and this is most important thing, margin, as I expected, this week little weakness at share price and Cu, Au price, this is great, I like consolidation before next leg up, I think some investors are waiting for Q1 numbers, if same or better than Q4, it will bring confidence and attract ...more

Why would you add debt to the market cap? You are implying the higher the debt in a company the more valuable it is... If HBM had zero debt the market cap would be higher not if they add more debt... Market capitalization shows how much a company is worth as determined by the total market value of all outstanding shares. To calculate a company's market cap, multiply the number of ...more

I believe HBM CEO discussed  a merger of (almost) equals to create a Copper focused mid-tier company. I was involved in the CMMC to HBM transition as a consultant and dealt with the HBM management team for a few months. HBM kept some of the CMMC Deal team to compliment theirs. From what I experienced, HBM is way beyond what we think would be a complimentary move.

Mid-tier company is one that produces 350-500 ounces Au eq/year, they are now performing better than majors, so Hbm is practically mid-tier, if Hbm gets taken out for fair shair price, share holders would benefit, otherwise not, I know what are shareholders are thinking, major buys for 50-100% premium, and story is closed, no waiting, what would Hbm benefit from merging with CS, I think not ...more
