current plan goes, Hudbay plans to treat the tailings as two separate projects in the same place - first, processing waste specifically from the zinc plant, then the rest. About six million tonnes of tailings are estimated to have come from ZPL. The specific mineral value of the former ZPL waste is seen as a different product from other parts of the facility.

interesting...i thought that copper was also one of the targetted metals but maybe not. i just saw an article that sulpher  spot price is selling for $125 usd per tonne and this is a historically decent price . Posted before about this - Amerigo Resources (T:ARG)  is a stand alone re-processor of both new and old tailings from one of Chile's oldest/largest mines and they pull out ...more
