US Dollar crash

Can someone explain to me what this etf will do if there is an eventual collapse of the US dollar.  Is it just a differential between the CDN and US dollar ?

More specifically,  I was looking for opinion on the run from the US dollar, and the predicted ensuing commodity spike in resources and oil, that would I guess drive the CDN dollar up in the short term. So I'm guessing HDD and HBU/HGU might be a good play if we see worldwide interest rate hikes, and a weakening US dollar.
