NG Futures
US natural gas futures rose more than 2% to $1.9/MMBtu, reaching a one-month high due to increased flows to the Freeport LNG export facility in Texas and a decrease in production. Flows to Freeport were set to climb to 1.3 bcfd on Tuesday, up from 0.9 bcfd the day before. Freeport indicated that Trains 1 and 2 will stay offline until May for maintenance, while Train 3 was operational. Conversely, flows to Venture Global LNG's Calcasieu Pass dropped to 0.9 bcfd from 1.4 bcfd. Gas output has also dipped to 99.2 bcfd in April from 100.8 bcfd in March, attributed to pipeline maintenance and reduced drilling post price declines. Looking ahead, weather forecasts show above-average temperatures through April 24.
