Canacord says AHIP's balance sheet derisked

Canaccord Genuity analyst Mark Rothschild upgraded American Hotel Income Properties REIT to Buy from Hold with a price target of C$4, up from C$3.50. The company announced a strategic investment from two "well-regarded" institutional investors, BentallGreenOak Real Estate Advisors and Highgate Capital Investments, Rothschild tells investors in a research note. The investment de-risks the balance sheet and American Hotel's enhances liquidity, says the analyst.
