All comparable US hotel REITS have recovered

to pre-Covid crash levels. All this in anticipation of a travel boom once Americans are fully vaccinated. The only bargain left is HOT.UN...

Likely a result of the lag by Canadian markets/investors. If we look at aerospace, almost all the US airlines are back to pre-covid levels while here we are still 40-50% lower. Our covid recovery lags the US but the direction is ultimately the same and that is UP.

What I don't get is that everything needed to drive AHIP is already in place. The hotels are in the US and the vaccinated public is in the US. In other words it is US market-driven. The only thing not US about AHIP is the listing. As far as airlines are concerned, our carriers are deservedly lagging since our vaccine roll-out has been slow. The US is at least 45 days ahead in vaccinating its ...more

Even though this is US based, since the stock trades only on the TSX, it is very unlikely there are many US buyers coming into the TSX to buy this. There are a lot of green shoots out there that is attracting investor dollars. Given the smaller Canadian pool of buyers, we will just have to wait our turn for that money to find it's way into the stock.

I'm not concerned about Americans not buying it. It's just frustrating to see that the Canadian investing public is perhaps too stunned to figure out the big picture.
