All the momentum has evaporated

Very disappointing it couldn't hold the gains just before and after earnings. The excitement and optimism has faded very quickly.

Perhaps it can turn back up aagain just as fast.

Not surprising really, the newly (reduced) dividend kicks in only in March. It was most lraders that piled in for a flip on the news and now the wait is on until February for fresh yield seekers to come back in to hold for the longer term.

Yes, not happy with the rapid retreat, I'm thinking things are looking good, and will rise back up.  An opportunity to add a few more? Will be keeping a close eye on the travel numbers into the US, I'm thinking this is mostly personal travel versus business?  Anyone have thoughts / data on this?  If it is personal then it should spread all across the country, and not be ...more

I think most of us here thought we were headed to $5.00 not $4.00. So much for the big announcement. I'm not in this yet have always been interested but have never pulled the trigger, which is good as it's been a value eroding REIT. It also never has seemed to raise the dividend, just lowered it like 4-5 times. But what is the current Asset Value? It might be an interesting short/medium term trade or hold if it's well below current price. I would still say momentum is upward, tho ...more

They were unlucky with timing. For years, they spent money (and got lower revenue) redevelopping properties, then they finallly commit to sell their basic hotels and move into premium when the redevelopping was getting to the end just as covid hit us. So, they never really enjoyed the full potential of their hotels revenues and hit a crisis (covid) which drained even more capital and forced them ...more

sclarda, excellent review-thx. IMO, current sp weakness based on covid fears, with numbers rising in europe and somewhat in usa. good buying opportunity at $4, looking to good gains in next 6-12 months.
