Must say I am a little puzzled about HOT.UN. Look at two US hotel REITS RHP and HST trading around pre Covid levels at resp. 14.5x and 12x FFO. HOT.UN trading at 60% below pre covid levels and trading at only 5.2x FFO. This should be trading at 6.24CAD or higher.

Maybe there is a hidden debt problem. I have not looked into their recent financials but this week end will probably be. Something must be up, otherwise this would be a steal and every investor would be on it.  Since this is not the case, the only logical explanation is that we don't get it and something is indeed wrong. Hope I'm wrong.

They reduced their debt level to 52.6%. So nothing crazy.

Canadian investor interest in travel stocks still lag the overall market. Airline stocks are still in the dumpster fire even though passenger traffic is just a few % points away from pre-covid levels. CHR is one that I own. Sometimes, investors are like sheep.
