i love the way husky management has steered this company , very prudent ...best balance sheet in the business  !  if you dont like it go buy some TBE or EGL , lol

I knew there would be no buyback but I thought that a nominal increase in dividends (as per guidance) would placate the market and send the right signal. Not so and obviously the market is very unhappy about it. Wow, this Peabody guy is sure no salesman--career as an undertaker woud have been preferrable. He simply blurts out a canned statement like he is reading from a textbook. Oh well, typical ...more

Husky's downturn while partially due to the mismanagemnt and operations failure at some of their facilities was also driven by 5 years of external political mismanagement by the Albertan NDPs. My bet on them is twofold; (1) that they will be sucessfuly turnaround their plant startups and recent oil spills with minimal issues, and (2) that the election of a concervative government 3 months ...more

I sure hope you are right but at the moment it looks like a minority government--- either Conservative or LIberal. Who is going to join up with the Conservatives in a minority government? The Bloc Quebecois? More likely, a Liberal minority government propped up by either the NDP or the Greens. They would certainly push for the death of Trans-Mountain and demand all kinds of other concessions ...more
