Minimum value of Husky Energy Inc.

Based on the financial statements, the minimum value for Husky Energy Inc. looks like 21.50 CAD per share. If future prospects deline, the minimum value may drop to below 15.00 CAD. WTI is expected to move inside a price band around 60.00 USD on average for the year. HSE price should start reflect this price giration in the coming weeks and months, at least till the second half of 2020.

this looks pretty good and kind of flies under the radar with its legitimate p/e ratio.  how many oil companies cover the div with earnings rather than cash flow?

Short term catalyst is the sale of retail operations. The products (gasoline, diesel) are highly taxed in Canada and the government sponsored public opinion and media are promoting even higher carbon taxes. Good decision to exit retail business but the execution is slow - hopefully well progressing.  Another short term positive is the expansion of Lima refinery to process op to 40,000 bbl/d ...more

high taxes are good for refineries and retail.  they can stealthfully raise margins and tell the rubes that it's all taxman's fault.

luckily we still have some free market in canada, your premise is flawed. Down side of higher gas price is less consumer demand.  Hse should have sold their retail sooner, like 5 years ago

Yet it trades for $8.19 right now. Clearly you minimum is off I have plenty of Husky and all at a loss now. Lets not pretend we know what the mimimum value is and post silly numbers. The stock is actively traded. That is its value.
