Oh no, TD downgraded their HSE target to $3.50 on March 13

Looks like I'm deeply underwater on this one.

My issue is if LKS wants to take HSE private, he could try using this $3.50/share valuation, when before it had a $12/share valuation.  It doesn't matter if you think it's worth $5+/share.  The $3.50/share should be based on some metric a judge would use.  In any case, if this scenario happens, I just pissed away a fortune on HSE.

You're way over thinking this. Chill and let this recover back to $5.00+

i'm aiming for more. This covid19 will blow over. I read china and south korea new cases are dropping, recovered patient exceed new cases. They are the big oil consumers. Shale oil frackers will start to croak in abou 6 month. Decline rate never stop, no development investment mean no new supply outside of opec and russia. I see 60+ oil again when russia and opec dictate prices. $100 oil again ...more

Thanks MRBB-- For those who are interested, there are a few stories on the wire this morning (Bloomberg, Forbes) about shale fracker debt going for 20 cents on the dollar. Yes, some of the scheme is coming unravelled and the public is becoming more aware of it but I think your 6 month time frame is a bit hopeful. I am thinking that shale production starts to decline in the 4th Q of 2020 and the ...more

yah, i might be a bit off on the timing of fracker demise. I mean in 6 month time we would start hearing some news on smaller fracker failings.  The mid size and those with hedges will be 12 months away.  The oil war won't eliminate all shale frackers, a few large players will survive.  Surviving the next 12 months for canadian oil producers is the key.       ...more

Yup, the bigger and mid size players won't see their production decline for a whie and your right, not all of them will go out of business. If HSE and some of the other integrated players can tough out the year then 2022 should be a bit brighter.
