Rumors or Fact?????

The rumors are that Suncor is going to make a bid to buy out the West White Rose project. If so what do you think will happen to the stock, Both Suncor's and Husky?????

All depends on what the Bid is.      Suncor should diversify out of Alberta more.   Both companies should diversify out of North America more.    I think HSE Asian operations are selling gas at over 3x the price as here, while also operating cost I think are the lowest I think.    West White Rose........ will come online when oil prices makes sense ...more

Does SU have the cash to make all of these acquisitions? Why would they engage in the white rose project, which is beyond their model?  I agree that the natural decision would be to purchase either Teck’s or TOT’s stake in fort hills at a discount, depending on the terms of the JV agreement of course.

It does seem Husky is interested in selling at least some of it's interest in WWR.   After all it asked the Government if it likes to increase their interest (investment) in the project.   I think it's just a rumor about Suncor, but if they came to the table I can see Husky doing something. If Husky gets CASH, and if it's anywhere close to what Husky has already ...more

HSE is fine either way either they get cash they can put to work in Asia or they get massive tax losses. They are so far ahead of any Canadian O&G firm in terms of strategy, intellect, and foresight....most just have their heads in the sand blaming everyone but them selves for high cost base and market share loss.

With an 85 IQ, I would doubt you have accumulated the funds to invest in any type of stock. Some advice, sometimes it's better to stay silent and had veryone assume you are an idiot then to open ...more
