Preferreds continue to Power Higher.... $$$$ Crazy Dividends

to be deposited into the Bank Tomorrow I believe $$$$$$!   Who does not like Crazy amounts of $$$$$$ being deposited in the Bank?

Guessing the Commons will probably get a Boost to the Dividend in the near future, given oil prices seem to continue to rise.

RB - I would be disappointed if they raised the dividend on the combined common stock.  Pourbaix is fiscally disciplined and he will want to strengthen the balance sheet on the combined entity.  I may be wrong, but all the best for the New Year.

I think CVE dividend is suppended currently.  HSE dividend on the commons is I think maybe 1.5 cents a quarter.     As I understand, that dividend will be applied to all of the combined shares.   Then I think maybe soon after they will raise the dividend. They already announced that the dividend will be 0.0175 post merger.  Actually HSE dividend stands at 0.0125.

0.0175 is a lot less than for example ~0.29 for the Preferred C's, but there's a lot more common shares.

I thought you sold your shares.

Yes, I sold most of my shares.    I don't think one person selling is going to fundamentally change anything about them.... Yields on them still relatively high, offering Crazy CASH Dividends into the Bank.

I still get this Quarters Dividend.  I sold last week after...... they announced Jan 1 for the transaction to close.  Didn't hear of any Preferred action take.  Assuming Preferred shares will be converted to Cenovus.  Plus the new Covid Strain and Lock downs. But all this will not (do not think) change the fact the Preferreds pays Crazy CASH Dividends. All just my opinion ...more
