PAY ATTENTION TO HVU SCAM! S&P 500 VIX UP 1.5% AND HVU IS DOWN 1.0% VERY EASY TO SEE!!!!
Comment by mdaffin on Jul 17, 2015 12:27pm
At 10:22 MST, S&P Vix is -0.33 %, VIX July is up 1.93 %and VIX Aug is up 0.62 %. Current holding is 12.5 % July, rest August. HVU is up 0.3 %. I agree it should be doing better, but it isn't wildly out.

More interesting is why HVU and HVI are both in the red.

That's exactely  what I was thinking why r they both down. I guess we have to wait for    MayorRodFord  or someone else to explain.

My bad. That's MayorRobFord. Spelling error.

didn't follow hvi/hvu today, but they can both be down slightly once in a while. Like all other etfs with their inverses. Management fees and decay. If you hold both say HGU/HGD or HNU/HND, you will lose money over time, guaranteed. If you look at my stockhouse portfolio, I listed some etf's and their inverses at the same time a while back, and most are negative return. Specboy ...more

Don't pay attention to the last price, look at the bid/ask spread. HVI is thinly traded (don't ask me why, guess people don't like making money) so it's spread is wide, bid can be far above or below the price at any given moment. More traders trading it would solve this.

Thanks for that Etf. I am gonna do some homework over the weekend and find few more. Good work keep it up!!

While I agree shorting China is good based on valuations, the government made alot of money available to prop up the market. It is also unclear if the street vendors have had enough or want to donate more money to their version of Wall Street (qiangbi jie). Some of the FTSE 50 are actually not bad value plays, being single digit P/E and paying dividends (a few outrageously high price as well). I ...more

I think so. Do you know any  EFT that gives exposure to H shares long & short  also if any  Japanese long & short ETF. Thanks. Meanwhile I think Germans voted Nai.

EWV is a leveraged short aginst Japan. Not a lot of volume (today 365 shares!).
