Hope the guy that was shorting HVU a while back didn't get a margin call... is sure money in the bank. Just a matter of time.

Hope you bought this morning then as just banked 10% on the $3 pop off the open. This week has been great between Wednesday and today. The volatility lately makes this perfect for day trades if you buy at the right times.

Predictable etf eh? Perpetual down trend. Boycott this krud. Lost on this etf now I realize this is a scam. Don't buy this or you will end up like me. Although I don't gamble what I can't afford, still sucks to lose money. Bought this when sp500 was 2090 early in the year. Even though sp500 went to 1840 I was only able to sell at loss. This is casino not investing .

Timing is everything with this one. If you bought when S&P was 2090 in August, you could have made 300 %. That is rare of course, and you are right that you will likely lose with this (I sure have, only week I didn't have any was Aug 19). When VIX drops below 16, your odds improve greatly. Best time is when VIX drops below 12. You can't hold this though, as the contract renweal will ...more

There are a few reasons I don't think HVU is much good for anything for retail investors, as compared to other stuff out there: 1. If it's a one-off quick gamble, there are other things that give much better returns like options or momentum stocks in a shorter period of time. 2.
