Hmmm When do I buy HVU?

How low will it go? At some point a buy of these shares will be a good hedge against the overall market when it takes it's seasonal dive in the fall.

One should never make a single trade decision from these bullboards, they are a joke. People laugh off technicals because they have no idea to use them and refuse to learn anything. Using technicals are not always perfect, but they do take out the guesswork. If you look at the daily charts for UVXY(easier to use than HVU, but essentially the same) there is a triple bottom/oversold position ...more

Sold on my overnight hold. Technically S&P could go higher after just small pullbacks. That's what happened back in early 2013. I look for price patterns, rather than using RSI and other stuff. I read it RSI and more advanced indicators become less reliable, so i stick to basics. The S&P did break out as i suspected based on the pattern, it's in neutral territory in my view ...more

Right on laffinatbaggies! I too trade either way but with HVU it's just daytrading. I too have been burnt by HVU in the past. I am still holding HVI at 7.48 but I am now starting to think about selling it. I was waiting for the vix to go to 11 but I don't think it will. I will be watching HVU for now. One signal to sell HVI is if it goes down when the S&P goes up by at least ...more

adaptable, I also day trade HVU pretty much everyday. I am just posting my longer positions of HVU near tops/bottoms. I use a couple of key technicals for day trading as well as for swing trading. Guys on this site don't like using technicals or RSI. Could care less about these jokers. I will try to send you a private message adaptable.  I will let you know what I look for in day trades ...more

Just wondering, is it funny to laugh at baggies when you're turning out to be 1 of them?

Why are you laughing at my friend, he's a one star like myself, even though last time l logged on l was 3 1/2 stars, but thats probably a good thing cause l'm not the one holding HVU at $10.00/shares, lol l don't even have any positions in HVU right now, but l'm loading up on HVI, HAVE FUN y'aalll!!

FOMC minutes on Wednesday. HVU getting some relief before then, as traders buy options to hedge against the event. Likely will dump following the minutes, So HVI may be the play. But if something unexpected pops up, then other way. Happy gambling!
