Coolfonzi... the inverse of HVU is HVI, however HVI is not leveraged like HVU.  So less potential to gain. However, after a market correction like Brexit earlier this year, you can still double your money in a safer way with HVI as the market rebounds. But that's a good question if one could short HVU for a market rebound. Some ETF's have inventory available to short. Doesn't hurt ...more

Considering the almost 0 chance of  a losing bet in the long term, finding shares to short would be extremely lucretive for anyone that got some. Knowing that, do you really think any brokerage house that had some shares to lend would actually lend them out to anyone  but rather would short them in their own book for the easy money. Knowing the slease factor of the average brokerage it ...more
